Resource authoring

Mavis is more than just a resource bank. It is also an authoring tool, capable of creating a virtually infinite variety of interactive resources.

All the resources supplied with Mavis were created with Mavis, and there is no reason why a teacher or student shouldn't create similar resources of their own. It is no more difficult than using a drawing application.

Of course, you might choose to simply use the supplied resources – there are plenty of them. But it is good to know that you can create new resources if you wish to. There is a wiki style tutorial to help.
