Lesson planner

Despite the large number of resources available with Mavis, the lesson planner ensures it should never be a problem to find the exact resources you need.

The lesson planner is a tool for creating a sequence of resources for delivery during a lesson. It features a progressive search facility to easily locate resources by keyword. Each resource includes a thumbnail image and teacher notes describing what it is designed to illustrate, and how to use it.

Once located, the resources can be arranged in order and stored as a lesson plan file. During a lesson, a single button press will step between successive resources.

Resources

Several hundred resources are planned for AS and A2 levels of Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Currently around 200 are available for Further Pure and Statistics.

Resources are easy to understand and use, because each resource illustrates one concept in a straightforward way. A lesson plan can be created using a number of resources, in any order you wish.

You can also ad-lib with Mavis. Plotting a mathematical function is as simple as typing it into the command window. Annotations can be added free-hand at the whiteboard.
